How long does the application process take?

We are an all volunteer based dog rescue where most of our volunteers also work full time jobs.  We do our best to make sure we have applications processed within a week.  The length of time it takes to process an applications depends on:  Length of time it takes to get a response from the vet reference, personal reference, as well as the number of applications that have been received for a particular rescued dog.

What if I have current pets in the home?

We require that all dogs & cats are spay/neutered, up to date on all shots & vaccines, and on monthly heartworm & Flea/Tick preventatives.  If the vet informs us that your current dogs &/or cats are past due on any of their routine medical care, your application will be denied.

What is the adoption fee?
Adoption fee for puppies 1 year and under ranges from $450 and up.
Adoption fee for dogs over 1 year is $400 and up.
PINC Dog Rescue takes all rescued dogs to the veterinarian for a physical exam, heart worm test, shots, vaccines, heart worm preventatives, and flea/tick preventatives while in our care.
All rescued dogs are spay/neutered unless they are not of age.  As stated in the contract, any dog that is adopted out will have spay/neuter, and micro-chip procedures at an approved PINC Dog Rescue veterinarian when of age as determined by a veterinarian.

What happens when our application has been approved?

After your vet & personal references have been checked, the foster or applications team member will coordinate a meeting with the rescued dog of interest in your home.  This is to make sure that the family as well as the rescued dog are comfortable around each other and that the adoption is the right fight for both.  If everything is a match, the contract will be signed and payment received.
